This is the one you've been waiting for!!!  Yes, I'm serious.  A Swedish t-shirt design involving the Swedish Chef.

Someone is going to have to check my spelling and grammar on this, but the sentance on the front is:
"Oj, hörde du det, du," which i think means
:
"Oj, did you hear that, you?"

I chose this sentance because if you say all the words together without pauses in Swedish-Chef's tone, it totally sounds like something he might say.  (it would be more like... heuurdee doodi doo...)

On the back, it says:
"Nej..." "bork, bork, bork" which means:
"No..." "bork, bork, bork"

I am a former Swedish club member who spent some time in Sweden. I would like to vote for this design. I think that it is pretty funny that the Swedish chef doesn't even speak Swedish, but I like that you gave him something to say :)

Is there a way someone not affiliated with your club could get one of these shirts? I'm studying Swedish at another school, but these are really cool shirts.

Hello Erica,
these designs have not yet been produced yet, but they should be available for purchase online once they are finalized. Thanks for your interest! By the way, what school are you studying Swedish at?

I was in Swedish club back when I was an undergraduate at UW, and i was in Swedish club as well! i miss it a lot, and I'd love to buy one of these shirts. Any chance they would be made by July? Could I mail order it?

PS - LOVE the Swedish chef one. That would be my vote.

I'm not really into this one. I'd personally like something that was actually Swedish and have something on it that I'd actually wear.

But that's fine that you guys really like it.

My actual point here is that the University won't like it if we write UW Swedish Club. There are rules when making a student organization that you can't have UW in the beginning of the title. You also can't have "...of the UW" either. They are very specific about what you can name you student organization.

If you guys wanted, I could take the "UW" off the apron... it would be applicable to more people this way, but if you wanted to keep it UW specific that's no problem...
Karli, do you happen to know where those rules are listed? I wasn't able to find them on a quick UW search, but it would be good information to have no matter what shirt you guys decide to go with...Thanks!

Beware of the words "copyright infringement." If you go for this design, you'd better have permission from the Muppet people.
