Member Bios 04/21/2008

There is now a link on the main page to a bio submission form!
I would soon like to start putting up member bios, so people can see who the Swedish Club is composed of and so that we can all learn a little more about eachother!  To start, I have put one up of myself.  Please fill out the following (and maybe send me a picture) so I can put up your bios!

Here's the format:
Year in School:
Favorite Swedish word/phrase:
Memorable Swedish Club moment:
Please comment here with your information!

Favorite Swedish word: Varsågod
Memorable Swedish Club moment: the first time I ever came, we watched Kopps, basically a Swedish version of Super Troopers. It was so cool!
Other: I feel kind of lame that I haven't taken a Swedish class yet, but I'm getting there! I'm going to register for Swedish 101 for Fall 08 at 6 AM on May 19!

Major: Political Science & Swedish
Year in School: Sophomore
Favorite Swedish word/phrase: Vadå
Memorable Swedish Club moment: Practicing for Lucia with no Karli to sing soprano, just a bunch of altos and us trying to push ourselves to be loud, but just cracking up because without karli to cover us...well, lets just say it sounded interesting :-P
Other: I lived in Sweden with my mom when I was 10, and have been back once by myself, but am hoping to possibly go back and study some more on my own some day.

Major: Swedish & Biology
Year in School: Junior
Favorite Swedish word/phrase: lagom
Memorable Swedish Club moment: It's hard to pick just one, but I'd say some of my favorite times have been sitting around with members of the club and drinking copious amounts of coffee and reminiscing about all things Swedish.
Other: If I could eat open-faced sandwiches with messmör and cheese for the rest of my life, I would be happy!
